About Mona
Meet Mona!! This beautiful girl is about 10 months to a year old. We believe she is a Belgian Malinois/ German Shepherd mix. She currently weighs 60 pounds and will likely be about 70-80 once full grown. Mona is currently searching for a foster home, or better yet a forever home!! Mona has been diagnosed with HOD (hypertrophic osteodystrophy) To sum up how this affects Mona: due to Mona being such a large breed pup and growing so quickly, her bones are having a hard time keeping up and hardening properly. This is something that she will outgrow with time, once she has fully developed and her bones have time to catch up in their growth. For the time being, we are trying to keep Mona from being over active or playful while her bones try to harden. Mona is seeking a mellow home where she can rest on the couch and recover to her full potential!! Mona is a very sweet, and intelligent girl!! We want her to be as comfortable as possible while she recovers and outgrows her HOD.
